Fasting and Autophagy
Intermediate fasting can help to grow new cells to change your body and make a new one, imagine the possibilities.

Fasting or Intermediate fasting is amazing for your body and to your overall health. However no two body's are alike what works for one may not work for another.
During fasting your body goes through different stages
While practicing intermittent fasting or fasting, your body goes through multiple phases of something called fed-fast cycle, depending on the amount of time that you fast.
The Four Phases:
The fed state:
Is the first few hours after you consume a meal. what happens during this state is your body is digesting and putting the nutrient's you’ve ingested in their proper places, meaning your body is absorbing the necessary nutrients it needs. As this happens your blood sugar rises and insulin is secreted. Insulin is needed to transfer sugar from your blood into your cells which is what gives the body energy. what isn't used in this process is then stored in the liver and muscles also called Glycogen which is where the body's stored carbs live for later use.
Early fasting state:
This stage happens about three to four hours after you’ve eaten and will last up to eighteen hours, In this state your body is using up all of the sugar in the blood and toward the end of this state it will begin to use up your stored glucose(sugar) from in the liver when these stores are empty your body begins looking for other places to get energy from this is where lipolysis comes in a process where triglycerides from fat cells are broken down into smaller molecules that can be used as fuel and it also can use amino acids which are the building blocks of protein.
Fasting state:
This state starts at about the eighteenth hour and will last up to two days after stored energy in the liver is gone. Your body will then begin to break down protein and fat at this point your body will begin to produce something called ketones in this metabolic state your body will begin to burn fat for fuel Here are a few signs your body has reached this state.
- decreased apatite
- fatigue
- bad breath
- weight loss
- increased level of ketones in your blood urine or breath
Long-term fasting state (starvation state):
You will enter this state about 48 hours in to your fast at this point your insulin will continue to decrease and your level of hydroxybutyrate (BHB) a type of Ketone will begin to rise. Your body will begin to make its own gluconeogenesis which is sugar made by your kidneys to fuel your brain
At this point there will be a break down of your BCAAs also known as branched- chain amino acids which are three of the essential amino acids are reduced to help retain muscle tissue in the body during this process.

- Reduced Inflammation in the body

- May help reduce chance of cancer
- Brain defogging
- Help reduce affects of Alzheimer's and Parkinson disease especially if caught early on.

- Helps remove fat from your liver
- And may help you to liver longer

Autophagy:
At this point your Body is in something called Autophagy basically your body is eating on it self which for some could be a very good thing especially if you have a build up of fuel (fat storage) to get rid of and your body cooperates with you.
In this stage your body is getting ride of all the bad cells and toxins and debris your body doesn’t need and building new healthy cells
Here are some of the benefits:
- Because its building new cells you gain youthfulness
- Removes excess proteins from the brain which can help to restore your brains ability to function which could help reduce the possibility of getting Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease
3. Recycling residual proteins
4.Providing energy and building blocks for cells that could still benefit from repair
5. It prompts regeneration and healthy cells all through out the body
6. Possibly help to battle cancer because cancer cells are damaged cells that could be destroyed by this practice.
However if your body isn’t haven it, then sorry to say listen to your body and stop the fast.

- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Bloating
- Vomiting
- Your Cold for no reason
- Tired for no reason
If your having these systems you could be experiencing Low Blood Sugar which could lead to a Diabetic coma, so please eat a peace of chocolate or drink some orange juice then seek out medical treatment
You could also have a build up of stomach acid which also could make you vomit and feel nauseated either way please see your doctor to check for any underlining issues that could be causing it.
